Mission
The Mission of the Barron Chamber is to build a better place to live and work by promoting economic growth and well being through cooperative efforts within the community.
The Barron Chamber of Commerce is an active proponent of business and industry in the area. We have developed and pursue our mission of promoting a growing economy that enhances the quality of life.The Chamber operates on an approximate budget of $10,000 that is earned through membership dues.
The Chamber Board of Directors is comprised of 10 - 12 elected individuals who serve for a three-year term of office. The Board is organized by committee, with each committee assuming overall responsibility for the events sponsored by the Chamber. Planning Committees are established for: Business & Industry, Annual Meeting, Spring Expo and Fall Fest. Other Committees are the Retail Promotion Committee, The Ambassador Committee and the Administrative/Finance Committee. All Board positions are volunteer positions, all working together with the goal of making Barron a better place to live and work.
The chairing function of the Board meetings is rotated among the Board Members. The Board meets on the second Thursday of each month to conduct the necessary business of the Chamber. They meet at their designated office location at City Hall. Administrative support is provided by the Chamber Secretary, Peggy Rogers, who can be reached at 715-537-5631.

The Chamber also has the opportunity to work with two Young Ambassadors who bring ideas and suggestions to help get our youth involved in community activities. The Young Ambassador Program is a Scholarship program that is open to high school students who want to represent the Barron Chamber and the community. Candidates are judged on their scholastic achievements, involvement in school and community activities, and an essay question. This year's Young Ambassadors are Emily Schultz and Bailey Monson. Both Emily and Bailey will receive a $500 scholarship upon completion of their term.
